After five intense days in Frankfurt, we came back with tired legs, a stack of business cards, plenty of new ideas and, above all, a real sense of gratitude.

A big thank you to everyone who visited the OXIMO stand. Thank you for the conversations, questions, suggestions, kind words, constructive feedback and the great energy we felt throughout the event.

Five days at the heart of the automotive aftermarket

Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 took place from 8 to 12 September and once again showed just how important this event is for the global automotive industry. Over five days, the trade fair welcomed more than 112,000 industry visitors from 173 countries, while 4,400 exhibitors from 80 countries presented their products, technologies and solutions.

This year, there was plenty of discussion about artificial intelligence, software-defined vehicles, driver assistance systems, electromobility and the changes taking place across the automotive aftermarket.

These are important topics, and we also use new technologies in our everyday work. But after five days in Frankfurt, one thing became even clearer to us: even in the age of AI, nothing can fully replace a face-to-face conversation.

AI can help. Relationships are still built by people

Sometimes, twenty minutes over a cup of coffee at a trade fair can achieve more than weeks of emails and online meetings.

You can sit down, talk openly, show a product, explain an idea and immediately hear an honest opinion.

That is one of the reasons why we come to events like Automechanika with a larger OXIMO team. We do not simply send a small representative delegation. We bring the people our partners work with throughout the year — the people they email, speak to on the phone, place orders with and contact when something needs to be solved.

At the trade fair, a name from an email signature suddenly has a face, a voice and often a sense of humour.

And afterwards, working together simply becomes easier. There are no longer only company names on both sides. There are real people who know each other.

Thank you for the compliments — and for the criticism too

Of course, we are always happy to hear positive feedback. It is great to hear that a product works well or that someone enjoys working with us.

But conversations about what we can improve are just as important — and sometimes even more valuable.

If something does not work as well as it should, an adapter could fit better, packaging needs to be improved or a specific product is missing from our range, we want to hear about it.

This kind of feedback does not disappear into a drawer.

We take notes, discuss it after the event and pass it on to the people responsible for each area. Our partners work with OXIMO products every day, so their experience is one of the most valuable sources of information we have.

So thank you for the positive comments, but also for the more difficult ones. We learn from both.

OXIMO WRMT — one wiper, many possibilities

Automechanika was also a great opportunity to present some of our latest product developments.

One of the products that attracted a lot of attention was OXIMO WRMT (Rear Window Multi-Type) — our multi-adapter, flat rear window wiper range.

The idea behind WRMT is simple: instead of keeping several separate product references for different mounting systems, you can use one wiper in the correct length together with the included adapters.

The range includes seven lengths — from 250 to 400 mm — with S1–S9 adapters supplied depending on the wiper length.

For distributors, this means fewer product references in stock and easier inventory management. One product can cover more applications, which can also help improve stock turnover.

Many visitors also asked us about a similar solution for the front windscreen.

For this, we have OXIMO MT — our multi-adapter front wiper range.

Combining MT for the front and WRMT for the rear makes it possible to create a simple and flexible product range covering a very wide selection of vehicles.

New contacts and relationships built over many years

We are coming back from Frankfurt with many new contacts, and we hope some of them will soon turn into new projects and long-term partnerships.

But just as important was the chance to meet again with partners we have been working with for many years.

In everyday business, it is easy to take these relationships for granted. Meeting in person reminds us how much shared experience, trust and how many solved problems are behind them.

Technology is changing our industry and the way we work. That is a good thing.

But business is still about people.

That is why meeting our customers, distributors and partners in person continues to matter so much to us.

Thank you for five intense days, for every conversation and for the fantastic atmosphere. We are very happy that OXIMO could be part of such a great automotive event and that we had the chance to meet so many of you in Frankfurt.
